I speak to Martinus Evans about using his experience of being black and overweight in America to run marathons and enable others to do the same in a way multi-billion-dollar corporations could not
Right on! I started following him & his run club on Instagram. Maybe he’ll discover trail running next? I don’t know if you saw it, but the most popular post on my Substack has a lot of the similar themes, and the Black woman I spotlighted went through a journey that started with being overweight & slow AF. Super cool. https://sarahrunning.substack.com/p/erica-goes-for-it

Now I have! Let's just hope we don't run out of great people doing great things to write about haha
Thanks for reading!
Love this. We were lucky enough to speak to Martinus earlier this year and he’s hugely inspirational.
What he is doing to encourage people to run and in giving them suitable apparel to run in is fantastic
Yeah! Right on! I think you posted yours about 2 days after I interviewed him. I have... a backlog haha.
Martinus seems like a super motivational person, great piece :)
