Bobby Stuckey talks to me about training for a marathon while being an international restaurateur, and how that training schedule can help others in the restaurant industry.
Great question. I think he's in the restaurant until late, and I believe has at least one beer at the end of a shift (from what I've read). But I think just enough to relax rather than enough to get obliterated.
I think it's just a really new thing to think about, and it's one that still feels kinda taboo to a lot of people.
I tried writing about it a year ago and there wasn't as much to pull from as there is now. There still isn't any decent hard data because that is changing fast as people get diagnosed later in life.
This is really interesting, thanks Raz.
I know he mentioned not drinking to excess/intimated relaxing in the evening, but did he say what his method to relax was?
Appreciate running is part of that, but training for marathons is also hard (which is part of the point of course!)… is downtime part of his schedule?

Sounds like he’s incredibly disciplined all round, fair play to him.
Great interview. Much of what you wrote/Bobby said about running helping to manage executive dysfunction resonates with me. Thank you!
It's a topic that I've been thinking about for a while, so I'm glad. And there's more to come next month!
Another good one! Thanks, Raz. 👏
